Terms of Use for Website Tools and Demos
For the online applications on zplcore.com (live demo, RFID Studio, Expression Builder, designed QR codes & barcodes, live editor). Version: 1.0 · Date: 25 October 2026
Provider: iqmeta GmbH, Am Sonnenhang 24, 71111 Waldenbuch, Germany, represented by its Managing Director Otto Neff, register court: Local Court (Amtsgericht) Stuttgart, HRB 748338, VAT ID: DE 294776335 ("Provider")
1. Applicability
1.1These terms apply to the use of the Website Tools on zplcore.com. By using them, the User agrees to these terms.
1.2The Website Tools are aimed at businesses and professionals who want to get to know zplCore. They are not part of any licence and do not give rise to any entitlement to a particular service.
1.3The zplCore Licence Agreement (EULA) does not apply to the Website Tools.
2. Service
2.1The Website Tools demonstrate features of zplCore using examples and the User's own input, e.g. rendering ZPL data, generating barcodes, encoding RFID data, evaluating expressions, designed QR codes and barcodes, and editing labels in the zplCore Designer (live editor).
2.2The Website Tools are provided free of charge and without any commitment to a particular availability, computing speed or quality of results. The Provider may change, restrict or discontinue them at any time.
2.3To protect against misuse and overload, the Website Tools are limited, e.g. in the number of requests per minute and per day, the size of the input, the label size and the length of the results. Results may be truncated.
2.4The Website Tools use the current development state of zplCore. Results may differ from a specific released version of the SDK.
3. Obligations of the User
3.1The User enters only content that it is entitled to use.
3.2The User does not enter personal data of third parties, trade secrets or other confidential data unless this is necessary for trying out the tools; the Trial Version of the SDK is intended for tests with real data.
3.3The following are not permitted: automated bulk requests, circumventing the limits (e.g. by changing addresses), attempts to disrupt or overload the Provider's systems or to circumvent security measures, using the Website Tools as a substitute for a licence, in particular as a programming interface for the User's own applications or in productive operation, and systematically collecting results in order to develop, test or benchmark a product with essentially the same function or to train artificial intelligence models for it.
3.4The Provider may exclude Users temporarily or permanently in the event of violations.
4. Results
4.1Results (e.g. generated ZPL data, images, barcodes, RFID encodings) belong to the User and may be used freely.
4.2Results of the Website Tools are demonstrations. Before productive use, in particular of barcodes and RFID encodings, they must be checked in the User's environment (e.g. with a barcode verifier or the target printer).
5. Data Protection
5.1Where processing takes place. The Website Tools process input as follows:
| Tool | Address | Processing |
|---|---|---|
| Live demo (ZPL viewer, barcode generator, template demo, feature demos such as compliance check, scan proof, migration, extraction, printer twin) | /demo/ | on the server |
| RFID Studio | /rfid/ | on the server |
| Expression Builder | /expressions/ | on the server |
| Designed QR codes & barcodes | /artistic/ | on the server |
| Live editor (zplCore Designer) | /editor/ | editing in the browser; preview and rendering on the server; opening and saving design files only locally in the browser |
5.2Processing of input. Input processed on the server is transmitted by the browser in encrypted form to the Provider's server. There it is processed separately for each request in memory, the result is sent back, and the input is neither stored permanently nor logged by the application. The content of a request is not visible to other Users.
5.3Protection against misuse. For calls to the Website Tools, the server issues a short-lived access token that is cryptographically bound to the IP address and browser identifier and expires after a short time. The limits under Section 2.3 (requests per minute and per day per IP address) are kept in memory only and are not stored permanently. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in secure and fair operation of the Website Tools (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).
5.4Statistics and conversion measurement only with consent. On the first visit, a banner asks for consent to statistics and conversion measurement; the choice is stored in the browser and can be changed or withdrawn at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer of every page. Only with consent does the website record its own page statistics without cookies (page visited, referring page, language, device type, truncated browser identifier, campaign parameters). The visitor identifier for this is derived from the IP address and browser identifier using a random key that changes daily; the IP address itself is not stored, and the session identifier is kept only in the browser's session storage. The Google tag (Google Ads, Google Analytics) is likewise loaded only with consent; without consent, the script is not loaded and no connection to Google is established. The legal basis is consent (§ 25 (1) TDDDG, Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR).
5.5Hosting and server logs. The Website Tools run on the Provider's own server in Germany. Server and proxy logs (including IP address, time, requested address, status code, browser identifier) are stored for 14 days and then deleted automatically, unless individual entries are needed for longer to investigate a specific security incident. These logs do not contain the content of input.
5.6Privacy policy. Details, including retention periods and your rights, are set out in the Privacy Policy for zplcore.com.
6. Rights
6.1The Website Tools, their software, texts, examples and design are protected by copyright. The User only receives the right to use them in the browser within the scope of these terms.
6.2Section 10 of the EULA applies accordingly to trade marks: names of printer manufacturers, printer languages and standards are used for descriptive purposes only.
7. Liability
7.1The Provider is liable for defects only if it fraudulently concealed them.
7.2Otherwise, the Provider is liable only for intent and gross negligence, for damage arising from injury to life, body or health, and under the German Product Liability Act.
8. Final Provisions
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). The place of jurisdiction in relation to merchants is the Provider's registered office (Waldenbuch, Germany). In the event of discrepancies between the German and the English version, the German version prevails. Section 25.6 of the EULA (severability clause) applies accordingly.
